Backgrounds
The ASCE Institute logos in any form must appear clear and visible at all times. The colored logo may be placed on colored backgrounds, photographs or patterns as long as the shield retains maximum legibility. Since changing the colors of the shield logos is not allowed, a black and white version may be considered in order to provide the most contrast for the logo.
The signature should always appear in black or white. This choice should be made based on maximum clarity.
The rule under the signature should appear in its designated color whenever possible. If a background color or pattern does not provide enough contrast for the rule to be visible, it should appear in black or white.
Reversing the shield logos out of a background is not allowed.
