Shield and Type Configurations
Each shield logo has three configurations that are permitted in color and in black and white and are illustrated in Exhibits 1-9. To demonstrate this, the AEI logo is being used as an example here. For audiences familiar with the Institute, the shield logo without a signature is an appropriate choice. For audiences unfamiliar with the Institute, one of the versions with a signature, or the complete name, is recommended. The signature can appear below or to the right of the shield and should always appear in black or white.
The signature alone is not allowed.
When three or more Institute logos with signatures are shown together, the version with the signature underneath the shield should be used.
