Primary Typeface

The preferred typeface is Futura Standard. The heavier weights are used primarily for headings and subheads. For small type, the lighter weights are recommended. Condensed and Italic versions can be used.

The Futura typeface by Adobe systems is available in Macintosh and PC versions and can be acquired for ASCE staff by placing a track it ticket with IT. We recommend Third-party vendors and ASCE volunteer groups to purchase the font at myfonts.com. When it is not possible to purchase Futura, a free Microsoft font that can replace it is Century Gothic.
